Debt Free Christian, a DBA of Turning Point Financial Counseling (TPFC), began as a ministry in August 1998. Located in Southern California, TPFC was started by two psychologists, Dr. Peter Robbins and Dr. Kevin Downing. They started TPFC because after working over two decades with troubled marriages, they confirmed that money pressures were the number one cause of marital distress and divorce. They also discovered that Debt Management Programs were a very practical and affordable way to help these families. After much prayer and research, TPFC was launched.

Debt Free Christian is a non-profit ministry and offers programs and resources for all areas of finances: credit cards, mortgages, budget counseling and other types of debt. No matter your need, we will be able to provide you with direction on how best to handle your situation with Biblical wisdom.We live in a society that has come to believe “debt is normal.”
